POEM: BUMBLE BEE

by contemplativeinquiry

Crawling

among blackthorn stars,

the bumble bee is drunk.

Petals float

from her blunders.

Her wings

move in and out of humming.

On her body is the glory

of the sun’s

wet shine.

From Colin Oliver High River Sudbury, Suffolk: Downstream Press, 2006.
